The Beer of Rights

We, the  Drinkers, of the Beer Swap, in Order to form a more perfect drinking event,  provide for a enjoyable drinking environment, promote the selection of good tasting bevidges (sic), encourage the thrashing of the New York Giants, and secure the Blessings of Beer to ourselves and our Posterity, do hereby ordain and establish this Beer of Rights for the Beer Swap.

I.          FREEDOM OF SELECTION

Each Official Beer Swap ultimate loser will have the freedom to choose the theme of the Beer Swap for the following year's Swap. No rule shall be passed establishing a singular beer swap theme, or prohibiting the selection of a theme.  The right to petition to Founders for a redress of beer selection grievances shall not be infringed. 

II.        RIGHT TO KEEP AND DRINK BEERS

The consumption of an abundance of alcohol, being necessary to ensure the prosperity of the Beer Swap, the right of each Swap participant to keep an assortment of each beer shall not be infringed.

III.       CONDITION OF THE QUARTERS OF HOST

No Swap participant shall host the event, unless that person has been the ultimate Loser.  Said Loser will furnish suitable quarters to host the swap, provide grub and a High Definition Television to watch the Eagles v. Giants.

IV.       RIGHT TO SEARCH AND SEIZE BEER

The right of the participants to secure a suitable beer for swap participation shall be made on first come first serve basis and shall be protected against unreasonable Internet searches to effect disqualification. In the event of infringement, the Founders have the right to search, seize and consume an infringing beer.

V.        PROVISIONS CONCERNING IMPROPER SELECTION

No person shall be unjustly penalized any Beer Swap points, unless, upon presentment of their Beer Selection, it shall be determined by the Founder that the beer selected falls outside of the theme chosen by the Ultimate Loser (See - I. "Freedom of Selection"). If cases of improper selection, the following penalties apply:

      *   for close misses, the Swapper bringing the beer will be penalized one point in the taste category from each person voting for that person's beer;

      *     for bad misses, the person bringing the beer will be penalized two points in the taste category from each voter and will be given all zeros in the cap category.

No Swapper shall face both penalties.

VI.       RIGHT TO A SPEEDY SWAP

All Swaps shall occur during the Eagles v. Giants (Away Game). Tasting may commence promptly at kickoff and must be completed by the end of the third quarter (unless otherwise specified).

VII.     RIGHT TO TRIAL OF EACH BEER

Each Swapper has the right to taste and score all beer. (Except their own.)

VIII.    RIGHT TO BE FREE OF CRUEL AND UNUSUAL GIANTS FANS

All Swappers are required to drink and shout approval for the E-A-G-L-E-S. Giant's fans prohibited. Consumption of beer swap beer is encouraged. Outside beer is not discouraged.

IX.       RULES OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE SWAP

The Swapper earning the most points is this winner. Scoring is scaled and based on Name, Label, Cap and profoundly on Taste. The winner will receive the "Lombeerdi Trophy". It is the contractual obligation of the winner to drink from the trophy, have his/her name engraved and mind the trophy until next Swap. The loser will receive the "Worst in Swap" trophy, may not urinate in same and must care for this trophy until the next Swap. The best cap will receive the "Cap Trophy" and must make sure that any caps that fall off are glued back on.

X.        RIGHTS OF THE SWAPPERS UNDER CONSTITUTION

The powers not delegated to the Founders in the Beer of Rights must be approved by a majority of the prior year’s participating members.

           Whining is prohibited.
